ESL One Birmingham Online: EU & CIS had its lower bracket finals come to an end earlier today, with Virtus.pro Prodigy and Team Secret fighting for a spot in the grand final against Alliance.

With a magnificent win streak lost, Team Secret were looking to rekindle their fires in the lower bracket final of ESL One Birmingham Online when they went up against Virtus.pro Prodigy. While both teams had finished as the top of their group early in the event, they both could not brave the upper bracket to get to the grand finals just yet – but today, one would be eliminated and the other would join Alliance to fight for the championship title.
Right from the start of the series it was clear exactly who the better team were – with everyone expecting that Secret were going to stomp over their opponent. Although VP.P were able to have some bright periods in game one, Secret brought out their Morphlin, once again, to bring their opponents to their knees.

Even after putting up a good fight in game one, VP.P were unable to find their footing against a superior opponent as Secret ran away with the series. It took only 27-minutes for the second game to be over, as Secret rolled over VP.P with ease and moved forward at ESL One Birmingham Online.

Tomorrow will be grand final day for EU & CIS, with Secret getting to have a rematch against Alliance on the grand finals, while Virtus.Pro Prodigy exit the event in an admirable third place.
