Right after the announcement of Diana as the new Champion for Legends of Runeterra, Riot Games revealed all that was left of their Call of the Mountain expansion.

New Keyword – Invoke

This new keyword allows us to pick a Celestial card from among 3 to create in hand. The Celestial cards that Invoke brought to our decks are six: Mountain Scryer, Spacey Sketcher, Lunari Priestess, Solari Priestess, Moondreamer, and Behold the Infinite.

  • Mountain Scryer: a rare four-mana-cost unit with 2/3 in stats that makes our Celestial cards cost one less mana and with the Allegiance ability, that allows us to Invoke.
  • Spacey Sketcher: a rare one-mana-cost unit with 1/1 in stats and the Play ability, that allows us to discard a card to Invoke a Celestial card that costs 3 or less.
  • Lunari Priestess: a rare three-mana-cost unit with 2/1 in stats and the Nightfall ability, that has Invoke.
  • Solari Priestess: a rare three-mana-cost unit with 1/2 in stats and the Daybreak ability, that Invokes a Celestial card that costs 4, 5, or 6.
  • Moondreamer: a common five-mana-cost unit with 3/5 in stats and the Play ability, that contains Invoke.
  • Behold the Infinite: a common two-mana-cost Burst spell that allows us to Invoke a Celestial card.

New Keyword – Fury

Fury grants the unit +1|+1 in stats when it kills an enemy unit and comes with five new collectible cards: Herald of Dragons, Whiteflame Protector, Fuse Firebrand, Screeching Dragon, and Dragon’s Clutch.

  • Herald of Dragons: a common two-mana-cost unit with 1/1 in stats that makes Dragon allies in our hand to cost one less.
  • Whiteflame Protector: a common four-mana-cost unit with 4/4 in stats and Fury, which will grant itself +1|+1 in stats when it kills an enemy unit.
  • Fuse Firebrand: a common five-mana-cost unit with 5/5 in stats and both Spellshield and Fury abilities.
  • Screeching Dragon: a common five-mana-cost unit with 4/5 in stats and both Fury and Challenger abilities.
  • Dragon’s Clutch: a three-mana-cost Burst spell that allows us to draw 2 different Dragons or, a second option, grant all the Dragon allies +1|+1 in stats.

New Champ – Aurelion Sol

Aurelion Sol has been the last of the announced Champions that will join the Targon roster in Legends of Runeterra from tomorrow.

The Champion will stick to the new keyword, Fury, and comes as the most expensive champion card of the game, being a ten-mana-cost unit with 10/10 in stats and two abilities: his Play ability Invokes a Celestial card that costs 7 or more; his Round Start ability creates a random Celestial card in hand. Thanks to his Fury keyword, Aurelion Sol also has Spellshield and reaches his leveled form when, at the end of the round, our allies have more than 20 of total power.

Aurelion Sol leveled form is a ten-mana-cost card with 11/11 in stats and, again, the same two abilities: Play will Invoke a Celestial card that costs 7 or more while Round Start creates a random Celestial card in hand. Apart from that, our Celestial cards will cost 0. Again, together with the Fury keyword, Aurelion Sol’s leveled form contains Spellshield too.

These are the new cards and spells that come together with “The Star Forger”:

Imagen
  • The Infinite Mindsplitter: an eight-mana-cost Dragon unit with 8/8 in stats and Fury. Its Play ability allows us to pick 2 enemies, while the Round Start ability stuns them.
  • Inviolus Vox: a six-mana-cost Dragon unit with 5/6 in stats and Fury that creates a random Dragon in our hand when an ally with Fury kills an enemy for the first time each round.
  • Starshaping: a five-mana-cost Burst spell that Invokes a Celestial card that costs 7 or more, and then heals an ally or the Nexus 5.
  • Aurelion Sol’s the Skies Descend: a fifteen-mana-cost Slow spell that deals 15 to all enemies and costs 2 less for each Dragon or Celestial ally we have. Also, it will shuffle an Aurelion Sol into our deck.
  • Messenger’s Sigil: a one-mana-cost Burst spell that shuffles 5 The Messengers into our deck.

Right after these announcements, Riot Games published a new tweet with all the Celestial cards that we will be able to call upon with the new Invoke keyword. Take a look at them!
