fnatic have officially added Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson to their Counter-Strike team. The 21-year-old AWPer will join the lineup as the youngest member and said he was “really honored” to be joining the organization as part of the announcement video.
“Joining fnatic, wow. I’m really honored and I’m really proud. I’ve dreamt of playing for fnatic,” he said.
Jackinho will be replacing flusha in the starting lineup and will have huge shoes to fill given flusha’s history and accomplishments – something he seems fully aware of. “Obviously flusha is an amazing player, he’s a very experienced player, someone I have a lot of respect for. But I will try my best to contribute with my strengths the best way I can.”
Jackinho managed to accomplish three Swedish tournament victories in 2020 in the form of Svenska Elitserien Spring 2020, Doritos Open 2, and Yalla Cup Winter. The performance he showed throughout these events helped to promote his worth to organizations with fnatic jumping at the opportunity.
It is expected that the young gun will take over the AWP role while Jesper “JW” Wecksell moves toward maining a rifle and perhaps secondary AWP when needed.
