Envy may have found a replacement for Josh “jdm64” Marzano according to a report from dust2.us. The report claims that Envy is currently in talks with Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek of ATK.
The South African player is currently listed on the roster for the team in several online qualifiers furthering this possibility and the seriousness in which he’s being approached.
Sonic has been with this lineup for some time having formerly performed under the Bravado banner for 3 years before joining up with Denial and then shortly after landing on ATK.
The team has had mixed results overall and while they’ve shown promise at times, they haven’t had many high placements or even qualifications that have resulted in event attendance.
Envy has been in a similar boat but with less time and some pretty big roster changes. Initially building the team around Marzano and Noah “Nifty” Francis, Sam “s0m” Oh, Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor, and Jacob “FugLy” Medina were later brought in as replacements for Taylor “Drone” Johnson and Steven “reltuC” Cutler . There was already a vacant spot after Finn “karrigan” Anderson departed following his loan/trial.
Envy’s new lineup is a mix of young talent and experience but Nifty becoming the squads main AWP should help to better develop role identity in the squad.
Envy roster should Sonic replace jdm64:
- Noah “Nifty” Francis
- Jacob “FugLy” Medina
- Sam “s0m” Oh
- Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor
- Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek
- Zachary “Eley” Stauffer (Coach)
