After joining Neon Esports in mid-July of this year on a trial, Samson Solomon Enojosa ‘Sam_H’ Hidalgo has been released from the squad just after their OMEGA League run has begun.
A little under a month ago, ex-TNC Pro Team player Sam_H was confirmed to be joining the Neon Esports roster in the position three role, this just a few days after they were eliminated from the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League. Since then, the player has been on trial with the squad, playing a few events – but mainly being involved in the currently ongoing OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division tournament. However, earlier today it was announced that the players trial period had come to an end and that he has decided to join another team.
Confirmed via the Neon Esports Twitter page in the Tweet above, the player will be replaced by Julius ‘JG’ Galeon for the time being. With Neon having a rather fantastic start to their OMEGA League tournament group stage at the time of writing, this change comes at a strange time – being announced just prior to the team’s series against 496 Gaming. Having been unbeaten up until this point, the team have now lost their first full series – which is to be expected this soon after making a roster change. However, it remains to be seen just how much this will affect the squad in the future and for the rest of the OMEGA League event.
For now, it is still yet to be seen which team Sam_H has decided to move to, with many teams in the Southeast Asia region possibly looking to pick up a young, talented offlane player. We will continue to keep you up to date on this and give you any and all information pertaining to Sam_H and the team he has chosen to join as it becomes available.
