Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk is back to Virtus.pro after two years and a half, however, this time around he will be helping the VP.Prodigy squad at the upcoming OGA Dota PIT: Season 3.

Lil will be standing in for VP.Prodigy, who announced a couple more changes to the roster just one day before the tournament is set to begin. In order to accommodate him, VP.P will move their captain, Vitalie “Save-” Melnic to the fifth support role, while Albert “eine” Garaev won’t be playing in the event.

VP.P have also replaced Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi in the mid lane with Gambit’s Danil “gpk” Skutin.

“All teams come to a point where it’s crucial to make changes in order to reach new heights. For this upcoming tournament we decided to switch things up not only by replacing 2 of our players for individuals as much talented, but also by letting our team captain Vitaly play full support role.

We are grateful to Danil for his willingness to play for us in OGA Dota PIT S3 and to Gambit Esports for cooperation. We also highly appreciate Ilya’s agreement to temporarily come back under The Bear’s tag,” said Sergey Glamazda, Virtus.pro CEO in the official announcement made by Virtus.pro on September 22.

VP.Prodigy roster for OGA Dota PIT Season 3:

  •  Egor “epileptick1d” Grigorenko
  • Danil “gpk” Skutin (stand-in)
  •  Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin
  • Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk (stand-in)
  • Vitaly “Save-” Melnik

Due to third party tournament organizers restriction to one team of the same organization being allowed to compete in an event, VP.Prodigy and Virtus.pro had to take turns in competing in the various online competitions that unfolded since March 2020. While Virtus.pro took part in the OMEGA League Europe and CIS Immortal Division and finished just top eight just earlier this month, VP.Prodigy haven’t been competing since July of this year, when they placed top 6 at OGA Dota PIT Season 2.
