The first wave of invites to the OMEGA League Europe and CIS qualifiers revealed a new team featuring two of the former OG.Seed members and well-established names looking for a fresh start.
OG.Seed disbanded at the beginning of this month after it became clear that running two teams under the same organization won’t benefit any of the parties involved as more tournament organizers stopped allowing the orgs to participate with multiple teams in their events. Three weeks back, when OG.Seed announced its disbandment, it was also revealed that some of the players were offered by other teams and will start a new journey. However, no other announcement that would involve the OG.Seed members was made since then.
Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin and Andreas Per “Xibbe” Ragnemalm are the first two former OG.Seed players to join a new project. They joined forces with Rasmus “Misery” Filipsen and Johan “pieliedie” Åström and they will be carried in battles by Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard.
The new stack will fight for a spot into the $550,000 OMEGA League Europe and CIS competition under the 5men tag.
5men roster from position 1 to 5:
- Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard
- Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin
- Andreas Per “Xibbe” Ragnemalm
- Rasmus “Misery” Filipsen
- Johan “pieliedie” Åström
The OMEGA League Europe and CIS qualifiers will begin on the 1st of August with eight squads looking to claim the first two places that will bring them a spot into the $500,000 Immortal Division of the event while the rest of the teams will land in the $50,000 Divine Division.
