Exactly one year has passed since Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho announced his retirement. It was on the 1st of June 2018, when Jimmy released a video in which he thanked the fans and explained how depressing was his last competitive experience in Southeast Asia with Team Admiral.
Post TI8, DeMoN joined J.Storm in a coaching capacity and traveled with the team to three Majors this season. Unfortunately, J.Storm haven’t been able to secure enough points through the year to lock themselves in for The International 2019 and have also lost the regional qualifiers for the Last Major and Minor of the DPC season. Their last chance to attend TI this year is to win the regional qualifiers, which this time around will have only one qualifier slot for each of the six regions. With that in mind, J.Storm announced earlier today a roster change which sends two of their members to an inactive status.
Team’s captain Park “March” Tae-won and their mid-laner Jonathan Bryle “bryle” Santos De Guia remain under the team tag, announced J.Storm on their Twitter account, but will be benched for the time being. DeMoN will step in on the fifth position while for the mid-lane J.Storm welcomed Leon “Nine” Kirilin on a trial period. Nine is German-Russian player who for the most part of his competitive career wore the PETA Sports and more recently the Team Spirit t-shirts. He’s most of the times on the top 10 European leaderboards, in late April this year reaching Immortal 1 rank.
J.Storm roster from position 1 to 5:
- Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok
- Leon “Nine” Kirilin
- David “Moo” Hull
- Clinton “Fear” Loomis
- Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho
J.Storm are currently playing in the WePlay! Tug of War: Dire America and are in the semifinals. Later today, their new roster will debut against the recently shuffled Beastcoast for a shot at making it into the tournament finals. J.Storm vs Beastcoast is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m PDT.
