With the second and last official shuffle before The International 2018 just set in motion last week, Dota 2 veterans start to gather their squads for the second part of the current Dota Pro circuit. This is the case of Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho who hasn’t been active since November 2017 when he parted ways with Digital Chaos. Without any DPC points under his belt as of yet, DeMoN is looking to make his entrance in The International 2018 invites race via the SEA region.
In his quest for The International 2018, DeMoN teamed up with Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte, Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios, Palo, Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton and Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano.

To some extent, Team Admiral is almost a full reincarnation of early 2017 Clutch Gamers.Three of the players who took the SEA region by surprise at the beginning of 2017 are now Team Admiral. Gabi, Armel and Boombacs were part of the 2017 Clutch Gamers roster that qualified for Dota Summit 7, The Manila Masters, EPICENTER 2017, and Mars Dota 2 League 2017. Unfortunately, heading into the LAN portion of all these tournaments, Clutch Gamers had to deal with multiple visa issues and couldn’t achieve results good enough to be considered for a TI7 direct invite. Clutch Gamers didn’t qualify at all at the last year’s International and the team went downhill ever since.
Gabi left Clutch Gamers right after the TI7 qualifiers and joined Execration for which he played until last week. Boombacs stood with CG until the end of 2017 and most recently he went to play in the WESG APAC LAN finals with Happy Feet. Armel, on the other hand, remained at Clutch Gamers until yesterday, January 15th.
It was at TI6 when DeMoN made a marvelous competitive comeback with TNC Pro team, leading them back then to a top-eight placement after a memorable OG defeat in the main event lower bracket. Now he is ready to make waves in SEA once again. We are looking forward to Team Admiral’s debut and wish them best of luck in the upcoming regional qualifiers.
