Benched after many years under the fnatic jersey, Robin “flusha” Rönnquist will remain a real fnatic legend. With 12 Majors played with the Swedish team and 3 Major victories, flusha was part of one the greatest CS:GO lineup of all time when he was playing under Pronax and alongside olof, JW and KRiMZ.
Two days ago, VPEsports reported that flusha was practicing with Cloud9 since fnatic’s announcement. VPEsports also told you that the American organization was hoping to use the player at BLAST Istanbul while STYKO will not be playing the Turkish event.
An announcement about that story was expected and Cloud9 has now officialized the arrival of the Swedish player in the roster. He joins his new team permanently and will replace STYKO that will go back to mouz as a substitute for now. As announced, flusha will play this weekend at BLAST Istanbul which takes place in Turkey from September 28 to 29.
By joining C9, flusha reunite with a former Swedish teammate from fnatic Maikil “Golden” Selim with whom he won IEM Katowice and WESG earlier in 2018. With a top 11/14 at the FACEIT Major London, Cloud9 is already certain to take part in the New Challengers Stage at IEM Katowice in February 2019.
Here is what flusha said:
“Joining Cloud9 is one of those opportunities in life that just felt right for me to pursue. Getting to play with hungry players that want to achieve what I once achieved is a big motivator, because I am not done yet. I hope to bring a lot of experience to this talented and young group of players, and I’m looking forward to getting to know the team better as well. Bringing us onto a winning path will follow from there!”
Cloud9 is now:
Timothy “autimatic” Ta
Will “RUSH” Wierzba
Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham
Maikil “Golden” Selim
