Earlier this week, fnatic announced that one of its most historical players, Robin “flusha” Rönnquist was moved to the bench. This move occurs after their first non-legendary placing at a Major for fnatic after twelve consecutive top 8.
fnatic will play with Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom instead of flusha at the ESL One: New York 2018 which takes place starting on September 26 and runs through September 30.
According to our sources, flusha was practicing with Cloud9 since fnatic’s announcement and is expected to join the team, at least as a stand-in for now.
VPEsports and HLTV have learned that the American organization is hoping to use the player at BLAST Istanbul next weekend which is organized in Turkey from September 28 to September 29. We were told that STYKO will not be playing the event and that the only thing that could prevent flusha from playing with C9 is that the player isn’t registered with the American team.
By joining C9, flusha would reunite with a former fnatic teammate with the team leader Maikil “Golden” Selim with whom he won IEM Katowice and WESG earlier in 2018.
