The 100 Thieves core of Aaron “AZR” Ward, Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas, and Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai are on their way to Europe according to a report from DBLTAP. The trio is set to join EXTREMUM and compete in the region alongside two new European teammates.
The Australian and New Zealand players were left without an organization to call home after 100 Thieves revealed that they would be leaving the title just two weeks ago. Now it seems 100 Thieves is in discussion with EXTREMUM to transfer the players.
EXTREMUM is a Russian organization lead by Emir “sngz“ Udvincic and backed by private investors and are looking to compete in Europe, which at the moment is certainly the move given the ongoing global pandemic. The current big tournaments are placing their roots in Europe and top North American teams have made the trip across the Atlantic to compete for the remainder of the season.
Liazz and Gratisfaction linked up with AZR in later 2018 under the Renegades banner. The core went on to reach the playoffs in back-to-back Major events. Their teammates departed shortly after 100 Thieves announced their plans with Justin “jks” Savage joining Complexity and Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad joining Apeks.
