Vitality Counter-Strike have kicked their 2021 with a bang and unfortunately for Complexity fans, that bang is a win over their team. In their first match of the BLAST Global Final, Vitality took down the international side 2-0 in convincing fashion.

Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut was of course the star we’ve come to expect, finishing the series with a +19 kill-to-death differential to lead his team. In typical fashion the star player had several huge multi-kills to give his team the edge in some crucial rounds.

Complexity were utilizing a stand-in in the form of Jakob ‘JUGi’ Hansen for Valentin “‘poizon’ Vasilev who is still out due to a previous surgery from which he’s recovering. William ‘RUSH’ Wierzba topped the leaderboard for Complexity while the star Australian of the team brought up the rear with a disappointing -11 k/d and only 57-1 average damage per round.

Complexity will now face the loser of the ongoing Liquid vs. Natus Vincere match in an elimination match. Vitality will take on the victory to decide who moves into the next round.
